Today is December 21st, 2009.
Exactly 3 years from the ominous and mysterious date of December 21st, 2012. This is the end of the Long-Count Calendar of the ancient Mayan people. They say this will be “the end of the world as we know it”.
There has been a ton of hype around this date, especially with the new Hollywood Disaster movie “2012″.
What’s in store for humanity on this day? or in the days leading up to it. How is this tied to “A New Earth” and a vision and possibility of creating a better, more conscious world? I believe that we are already in the process of creating a new earth. By you reading this blog and participating in the web classes, you are a part of the Awakening of human consciousness on the planet. This is an evolutionary event that is accelerating faster and faster each year.
Is this massive awakening part of the coming of 2012? Will the “end of the world as we know it” actually be an opportunity to shift from a mostly self-consuming and self-destructive global ego-consciousness?
If so, that’s a welcome change to me.
What is my role to be in this change?
I sense that the outcome of this event will be based on the choice we make, that each one of us makes. To stay the same and wait for someone to save us from our own quicksand ( Obama? Jesus? Oprah?)
OR
to take Awakened Action and launch new conscious businesses and community initiatives.

I don’t particularly like “deadline dates” and feel they set people up for fear. I would just like to believe that we are all progressing in a direction to becoming more conscious. Since I am older (have grown grandchildren) I do feel an urgency to becoming more conscious, less years left, so am glad that I found Brendon and the opportunity he is giving us to grow. The meditation excercises are helping me to be more awake whether I am at work or doing things at home. Thank you Brendon.

What does it matter what happens on December 21 2012? For those of us who have some sense of Now there’s nothing to be concerned about. As to the “end of the world as we know it”, that might be a good thing. Look around you. There are many things going on that would be best to end.
I remember the response that Eckhart Tolle gave Oprah during their webcast of “The New Earth” when she asked “What does happen to us when we die?” Eckhart replied, “Why not wait and see what happens?”. If the world ends it will be a facinating experience to watch no doubt. But it’s not then end of anything too important in the grand scheme of things. If it doesn’t end, I suspect some will be dissapointed or too “busy” to notice.
