Oprah’s Finale – Our Video “Thank You” Card

Yesterday was the Finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Christine and I watched in amazement this week at the gratitude explosion that took place. Everyone left feeling good, touched, and like they had witnessed history.

3 years ago we created a video to thank Oprah and Eckhart Tolle for the 10 – week Web Class on “A New Earth”. Eckhart has been one of may main spiritual teachers since 2000, and I had read “A New Earth” when it first came out 2 year before the web classes.

I felt so much joy and excitement that Oprah had chosen the book for her Book Club pick. That gave it the exposure and reach that I had only dreamed of.

This was the trigger, and jumping off point for our first website aNewEarth.com.  We supported the web class participants by writing e-books, audio meditations, chapter summaries and practical exercises to applying the teaching in their lives.

It was a momentous undertaking and we were able to help the 25,000+ email subscribers who joined us on the journey.

After the web classes were complete, we were inspired to create gift to thank Oprah and Eckhart for all that they had done.

That’s when we collaborated with our spiritual friends and videographers Ryan Frederick and Deborah Edmeades to create this video “Thank You” Card. We even engaged our Tribe to send us photos that we made into a heart shaped collage, see at the end of the video. They were part of it to. They were the reason we did it.

To date it has over 8,750+ views on YouTube and many wonderful comments.

Is she the next Marianne Williamson?

If there are still some niggling doubts and fears, then let me introduce a woman who can help: Gabrielle Bernstein.

Gabrielle is a “spirit junkie”… in other words, she is a voice for a younger generation.

She is deeply grounded in A Course In Miracles, but she brings her own flare to the teaching.

I discovered her about a year ago when I saw a tweet by Marianne Williamson saying something like “this is the younger version of me”. Being a big fan of Marianne, having read her books and seen her speak several times, of course I clicked on the link to discover who this new spiritual guru was.

I was hooked immediately! Gabrielle is not only beautiful and wise, she brings a very practical approach to these spiritual teachings. There is no fluff or bull s–t. And, if I dare say it, she brings funk.

She’s made spirituality hip and cool!

Just look at the photo of her in her angel wings, standing on a skateboard in New York City. This girl has her own flare. She’s out of the box!

And she’s right on target! Her book, her video blogs, her lectures hit the nail on the head and I find myself having an “aha” moment each time I connect with her teachings.

Announcement: Our Book Journey Begins – and You’re Invited To Come Along

This week we signed on with a division of Hay House, called Balboa Press.

We are very excited and grateful for this opportunity. Our professional journey begins now with our first physical book.

This is the launch of a whole new part of our career as Inspirational authors and speakers. We’ve written several e-books, and conducted many speeches and presentations, and now we are turning Pro!

It’s been almost ten years since we graduated university with our engineering degrees. I was also divinely led to get into Philosophy and earned a BA degree in Philosophy. That was the environment that fostered and grew my love of wisdom (which is from the Greek work philosophia) and found joy and creative expression through writing.

The Internet OR The Egonet?

Internet EnergyThe internet is the most powerful tool in human history because “knowledge is power” (Sir Francis Bacon). It is the global reservoir for information and nexus for connecting and sharing it with people around the world.

Technology is a tool and is inherently neutral. It is what we choose do to with the tool that reflects who we are, and our spiritually maturity. The Greek god Prometheus is said to have stolen Fire from the gods and given it to humankind. He was later punished. Fire became a miracle tool for cooking, socializing, story telling, warmth and worship. In many humans, ego took over and used it to advance their selfish aims. They made hardened spears, burned enemy villages and crops. Today, the abused power of fire sits in thousands of nuclear warheads under our very feet.

The internet is also neutral. The ego is always the earliest adopter and the internet grew because of pornography. Anonymity in one’s home provided the context for the ego to indulge in temptation and make hurtful comments in chat forums and newspaper blogs.

In 2007 there was a shift and the scales had tipped. More people were spending time in social networks like Facebook and discussion forums than on pornography sites [Time.com]. I believe we are all a part of the same Whole. In the collective mind we had reached a critical mass in the intention to connect with friends, share information and join interest-based communities.

The light had cracked through the shell of the Egonet. Now, more and more people express themselves authentically, share their heartfelt message globally and live their purpose online. The prophets of old only had sandals and ships to spread their message. We have the internet. I encourage you to consciously harness tools like websites and social networking to share your message of hope, healing and transformation as we take this next step in our spiritual evolution.

You are in business to help people.

At one point, perhaps many years ago or just a few weeks ago, you connected with your inner purpose. You discovered that there was more to life than being in the rat race, working for the man. And you knew deep down that you had a gift to share.

When we dissolve our pain body, we are being in even greater service to our tribe…. and we can ENJOY life more!

This interview is with spiritual teacher Greg Larsen, who is an expert in the teachings of Eckhart Tolle.

I asked him how we can all dissolve our fears, our limitations, and our pain body, so we can grow our ourselves, grow our business, and make an even greater impact on the planet.
